You are cordially invited to attend a Special Ceremony to Celebrate The Return of the Ancestral Sacred Grounds - Split Rock

Koolamalsi !

Taheetewee, also known as Split Rock, is the traditional Indigenous ceremonial grounds of the Ramapo Lenape Nation.  For generations, our people have been the caretakers of our sacred ancestral lands, which were taken away from us during colonization. Today we are proud to announce that after three hundred long years, Split Rock has been deeded back to our stewardship with the assistance of The Land Conservancy of New Jersey and the Rockland County Sewer District.

Please join us in the celebration of this monumental and historic event! On March 21st, 2023, the first day of Spring, for a special ceremony to welcome this new day!

Mark your calendars!
